Jackson Purchase Energy Cooperative is not exempt from taxes. Below are property taxes paid by JPEC last year. Property taxes are paid on items such as poles, wire, transformers, substations, fleet, and real property. JPEC also pays all applicable sales tax.
Property taxes are paid to the Commonwealth of Kentucky as well as to the individual counties that we serve.
