Each spring, six seniors whose parents or guardians are served by JPEC are awarded scholarships that are used at accredited Kentucky universities or colleges. JPEC also sponsors two juniors on a trip to Frankfort to learn how Kentucky government works by meeting legislators and touring the Capitol building and Governor's Mansion. They also represent JPEC in Washington, DC where they tour the Capitol, visit the Holocaust Museum, and cruise the Potomac. Interested high school juniors are encouraged to apply for the Youth Tours and seniors who have a 3.0 or higher GPA and a comprehensive ACT score of 18 or higher can apply for a scholarship.
