Billing Information
Jackson Purchase Energy offers several billing options for your convenience.
Levelized Billing
Hate surprises? Even if you like them, you probably don't want to see one on your next electric bill. Jackson Purchase Energy can help. JPEC now offers levelized billing. As opposed to budget billing, which used a 12-month average and charged customers the same amount each month, levelized billing will constantly adjust the monthly amount to better reflect actual use. This means there will be no catch up month at the end of the year, as was the case with budget billing.
The rolling-average adjustment means you can sign up anytime. New members are eligible with just two months of billing history.
For more information, contact any customer service representative.
Automatic Bank Drafting
Members can arrange for their payment to be automatically deducted from their checking account each month. Members will still receive a bill for usage. However, instead of sending a payment, our members’ checking accounts will be debited automatically. The transfer of funds from the bank to Jackson Purchase Energy is shown on their checking account statement and serves as their receipt. The payment will not be drafted from a member's account until the due date. You can request a bank draft authorization agreement by contacting any customer service representative by phone or e-mail.
Credit Card Payment
You can contact JPEC by phone and make a payment using your MasterCard or Visa. You can also request that your payment be automatically charged to your credit card each month. Similar to Automatic Bank Drafting (see above) a member's credit card will not be charged until the due date. For more information or an application, contact a customer service representative.
Payment by Mail
Payments may be made by mail anytime. Please include your payment stub and write the account number on your check.

Financial Hardship
If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact JPEC. We are pleased to offer assistance in making payment arrangements. However, if you contact JPEC after the payment due date, your assistance options may be limited.
